yawn yawn yawn

This week is already going slow. Kyle hates his job. He's going to try to get a job at Fed-Ex because they start at $14 an hour, and it's only 30 hours a week which would give him more time for school. AND because he hates his job. His boss calls in every other day it seems, and it stresses him out. That complicates our insurance situation though because I won't be able to put us on my insurance until November. I don't know. I just don't want him to be stressed.

Sundays

I have been so tired today. I have no idea why! I've spend most of the day napping as much as possible. I'm slightly unhappy that lily is almost 2 years old, and I still haven't lost all of the baby weight yet. I mean, it's only 10-15 pounds and I haven't put forth much of an effort in the last year, but still. I'm aware that I'm not really even "fat" but I have weight issues. I get upset. I just want to weigh 14o pounds again. That's not even a ridiculous goal. It's like 10 pounds. Geez, taby, you can lose 10 pounds.

Soo anyway, I'm trying really hard to eat less. It's really hard because my mom cooks us supper every night, and she cooks a lot. I could eat a sandwich or a bowl of cereal for supper every night and be fine, but she cooks full meals so that's what I eat. I'm working on it. I really want DDR because when we had it, I played it constantly and that's how I lost most of the weight AND I felt a lot better when I was exercising so much.

Eh. I guess that's all I have to talk about today.

The Dark Knight

We bought our tickets online to avoid waiting in line, but as it turns out, there was a line that went all the way outside of the theatre for the showing we went to see (and we got there an hour early!).

However, it was worth waiting in line. when i was a little kid, batman returns was one of my favorite movies. i have been dying to see this movie ever since i saw batman begins. and it was WORTH IT. OMG. I can't say it was better than batman returns, but omg, it is at least tied. and heath ledger played such a good joker that you'd swear it wasn't even him. he deserves an oscar for that role. even if he were still alive, he'd deserve the oscar. seriously. holy shit.

so that was our weekend. tomorrow we'll do nothing, but i'm going to try to get some work done. every so often, my boss comes up with side projects for me so i can make a little extra money. it's not much, but every little bit helps. so i guess that's what i'll be doing tomorrow.

Into the Fire

When I was about 13, my parents somehow managed to send me, as a "student ambassador" to Europe. In 2 or 3 weeks, I visited France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the Czech Republic. I don't talk about it much because it kind of makes me feel like a spoiled brat, but I have recently decided that I really, really, really want to move to Switzerland, and I back this up with the fact that I was there and it's beautiful. No pollution, and these days, I really just want to run away to the mountains.

Anyways. Nothing new. Lily is astounding. It amazes me because she isn't even 2, but she seems to absorb and mimick EVERYTHING. If i explain things to her, she understands, and can even repeat what I say, and I just think... God. A year ago, she couldn't even talk. It's probably because this is my first, but fuck. It amazes me. Absolutely. I'm sure everyone feels that way about their first though..

*yawn*

This has been a crappy week so far. I don't think I can fully explain why. I think it is mostly the current state of the world around me, and that it just makes me sad. Sometimes I'm afraid of what path the world could actually be on. I'm almost thinking maybe I should throw my good judgement out the window and vote Ron Paul in November because, sadly, he probably is the best candidate. Really. Six months ago I thought he was crazy, but I'm starting to think he may be right.

However, I think we're all aware that he would never win the election, so that's probably not what I'm going to do. LoL.

Anyway. I put a google ad on my site. Because maybe, just maybe, hundreds of people will click them and I'll make some money. :D

Nothing has really been going on here. I told Kyle he was supposed to take me out this weekend, but we couldn't afford it. Instead, we spent half the weekend fighting and the other half making up. All in all, it wasn't bad. Sometimes, it seems like we've grown apart, but I think we cleared a lot of that up. Probably not all of it, but things seem better. We both keep a lot of things bottled up, and we've both been stressed for the last year. We're working on it.

Other than that, nothing exciting. We are going to try to go see the dark knight next weekend, but I'm not even sure if we can afford to go to a movie. It all depends. I'm working more this summer so I'm making twice as much money, but I still have the "we have no money" mindset.

Well..

I have decided that I'm going to actually attempt to maintain this blog. I could just go update my livejournal or something, but maybe it's time for something new, I don't know. Besides, if my website is ever finished, I can embed this one and I don't have to stop using it.

Soo.... there's really nothing interesting to talk about. Since it's summer, I'm working full time because apparently everyone loves me and I can do that. Plus, they decided to promote me from "intern" to "assistant" so I can get benefits now. Yay! I found out last week that Lily's Healthwave (aka Medicaid) got denied because of "failure to provide proof of income" even though I faxed them said proof of income twice. I was going to call and complain, but then I remembered that it's free so whatever. Kyle's insurance has open enrollment in September, so I've decided that it will be best to just wait until then and put her on. Honestly, I could reapply, but I think our income for the last two months puts us (barely) over the income limit. It's really not fair since this is mostly temporary summer income, but blah. I have a hard time doing this "free government" stuff thing. It's a lot of work. Really.

On the bright side, since we made next to nothing last year, I get enough financial aid for next semester to pay my tuition, buy books, AND get a new computer. Kyle's also thinking of taking some classes so he can get certified to work in Networking. :D

Ok. I'm done rambling.

This is my blog.

Which I will probably not post to very much. But here it is.
